The parking operation was already busy. Visitors used pay stations, long-term customers had their own arrangements, and staff kept the different parts running. The difficulty was seeing how they all fitted together.

Permits and subscriptions were managed separately from visitor parking. Reports came from different sources. As traffic grew, so did the work needed to answer fairly ordinary questions about customers, payments and the performance of the site.

One place for visitors and long-term customers

The project brought vehicle access, parking payment solutions, permits and subscriptions into the same platform. ANPR replaced the kiosk-based arrival process, while digital payments were connected to each parking visit.

For long-term customers, parking products and permissions became part of that shared setup. Staff could manage a visitor’s payment and a regular customer’s subscription without switching between separate systems.

The ANPR parking system kept the driver’s journey straightforward: arrive, park and leave. In the background, the platform connected parking time with the relevant payment or permission.

What changed for the team

Management gained a central view of revenue, occupancy, customer transactions and permit activity. Reporting became available through the platform, reducing the need to compile figures manually.

That made day-to-day questions easier to follow up. The team could see parking activity alongside its financial records and use a common view when discussing how the site was performing.

The commercial result

In the first operating period after implementation, the project recorded an increase in parking revenue of approximately 80%. The original case report links the improvement to several changes working together: better compliance, reduced revenue leakage, simpler customer journeys and better use of the available capacity.

That figure reflects this site’s starting point and the combination of changes made there. Bringing visitor parking, long-term products and reporting into a common working environment gave the team clearer oversight without adding parking spaces.

A useful example for property owners

Many owners will recognise the starting point: a site that works, but takes too much coordination to manage. This project shows how parking management software can bring those tasks together and make the existing asset easier to run.

For owners with several locations, the same questions extend across the portfolio. Our enterprise parking management approach connects local operations with the reporting owners need.
